I just wanted to thank you for an amazing talk in Stamford this evening.  We came away feeling inspired and humbled, but seeing the world with new eyes.  After years of working on environmental projects, and feeling an overwhelming sense of doom, it was lovely to feel some wonder again.

Hi Toby 

I had the privilege of coming to your talk and I feel compelled to write an email to reach out and say how absolutely amazing your talk was. 

I was very moved by things you talked about this evening, the stories you told, the adventures you’ve had and the visual clips and photographs you showed we’re just incredible.

I’ve never had the opportunity to travel but tonight I felt like I’d visited places far away just by listening to your fascinating adventures. 

You said tonight in your talk how life is short and we should be grabbing it while it’s here and making the most of it and it hit me hard. Because sadly I lost my partner almost 2 years ago and my life got completely turned and twisted upside down and inside out and things haven’t   felt very hopeful or optimistic. When your heart breaks completely it feels like it will never heal. But slowly things are feeling less grey and I can see hints of colour in life again. 

And your show tonight was inspiring and wonderful and I havnt felt that fire in my belly for a very long time so I wanted to thank you for that.
